'Tis the Season

So Halloween's now out of the way, which means it is time for the Real Holiday-ing. And though I love the November-December festivities, it always feels like it's a bit of a time crunch to get it all in.

You can totally consider me as the Over-Holiday-er. It's just built into my brain that during the holidays, I need to spend time with pretty much everyone I care about. And while it's not like I've got bazillions of friends and family vying for my attention, between my BF and I, we've got people scattered all over the east coast. So when it comes to deciding who to spend which holiday with, it sometimes does feels like things come down to a coin toss every year over who, when and where.

We've tried switching off holidays and we've done just doing holidays separately with our own fams, and about every iteration in between. I've racked up some mileage. We've even talked about just doing a holiday totally on our own without anyone else - because isn't that like a sign that you've "made it" as an adult when you get to have your own holidays the way you want to - but "overachiever" in me just won't let that fly. Holidays are about spreading the cheer, right?

So what do you ladies do? How do you determine how to spend your time during the holidays?
